Star Dance Alliance brings together the leading dance competitions in the world, united by a shared drive to raise the bar and create an unforgettable experience for dancers, studios, and families. Each SDA competition has its own distinct style, but all share the same high standards, passion for dance, and commitment to creating competitions that feel fresh, exciting, and built for what’s next.
The Power Rankings are the highest honor received by studios throughout the Star Dance Alliance regional competition season. At each Star Dance Alliance competition, Regional Champions are awarded. Each of these champions are then ranked within their respective region based upon the scores they received (up to 300 points, the SDA standard) at the regional in which they competed.

Intensive Workshops
WILD Dance Intensive brings an unforgettable one-day intensive experience to cities across the U.S. Designed to challenge, inspire, and energize dancers, WILD creates an environment where training feels exciting and intentional. Our world-renowned faculty of choreographers and educators is dedicated to giving young dancers the tools and confidence to succeed.
Over the last 3 decades, Power Pak has evolved into a one-of-a-kind week-long intensive that brings together some of the country’s most talented young dancers. Dancers ages 7–21 are awarded invitations throughout the SDA regional season to join us for a week packed with master classes, rehearsals, and team building, all leading up to performing in the opening number for Starpower’s Battle of the Stars. The World Dance Championships brings together standout routines from across the world for an elite competition where the best go head-to-head. Dancers who earn a Golden Ticket at a Star Dance Alliance event are invited to compete against the top routines in their division. The World Dance Pageant is a prestigious three-day solo competition where dancers compete for the title of Mr. or Ms. World Dance. Held alongside the World Dance Championships, the Pageant goes beyond the stage with talent, interview, modeling, and classes—giving dancers the chance to compete and be recognized among the dance world’s standout performers.
